Nason's Scanning Service was founded in 2014 by Tom and Ana Nason — rooted in decades of hands-on construction experience and a clear vision for safer, smarter concrete work in Northern Nevada.
The Nason Story
From Maine to Reno — A Career Built on hard work. driven by experience.
Tom Nason grew up in Sebago, Maine, where he learned the fundamentals of construction working alongside his father in the family business. From an early age, he developed hands-on expertise in building homes from the ground up — a foundation that would define his entire career.
He went on to earn a degree in construction from Southern Maine Technical College, then relocated to Reno, Nevada in 1994. Tom began his career as a concrete cutter and steadily advanced through the ranks — foreman, salesman, and eventually project manager — gaining deep insight into every phase of concrete construction and demolition
Watching Reno grow, Tom recognized a critical gap in the market: contractors needed reliable, professional concrete scanning before cutting, coring, or demolition. In 2014, Tom and his wife Ana founded Nason's Scanning Service to fill that need — bringing certified GPR technology and decades of field experience to every job site.
